On the 21st and the 22nd of May depending on where in the world you are, there will be a Full Moon in the constellation of Sagittarius.
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter, representing getting out of our comfort zones, looking to the future, higher learning and learning the truth as opposed to being told lies. Sagittarius is the Archer pointing his arrow to the heavens. Mutable energy signs are always adapting, meaning you can have great clarity one minute and have a foggy brain and confusion the next.
The full moon is a “Yang” or Male energy expressing itself outwards. It is the time when you say you would like to move ahead with your intention of the previous new moon or accept that your intention is not best at this time where you can either release it or correct its course.
Each full moon reminds us that the seeds we plant in a new moon may be coming to maturity to be expressed in this world.
Look closer at Sagittarius and see how you can integrate his energy into this full moon. Sagittarius is all about finding the real truth, adventure, travel, having faith and being optimistic about the future.
You can either realise a dream or let go of baggage making way for something new and exciting.
The ruling planet Jupiter is known for being the planet of expansion, good fortune and abundance. Depending where the Full Moon in Sagittarius is in your chart, it could bring you a vision for your future in a particular area of your life, a spiritual awakening or even some good news.
Here are some suggestions for good things to do during this Full Moon in Sagittarius:
- Think about your future and how knowledge can help you better yourself
- Have an adventure
- Make plans for a big trip – after all Sagittarius is big on travel
- Tell the truth honestly and be open to the result
- Inspire others and have someone in your life who inspires you
- What is the passion you have within you? Let it out!
Just a word on the truth – some Sagittarians or people with a lot of Sagittarian energy can be brutal when truthful. Telling the truth does require being direct but just be aware of the other person.
Some positive traits of Sagittarians is their kindness, their ability to think big and their sense of humour. Many really funny people are Sagittarians such as Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Joan Rivers and Betty White. There are also visionaries, those who think big, like Steven Spielberg, Walt Disney, Brad Pitt and Oprah Winfrey.
Look at these amazing people to get a better idea of the incredible energy of Sagittarius.
For those of you on days 10 and 11 of your cycle, today is a fantastic day to think about something you really want. Getting in touch with this vision and sharing it with the world helps you live up to your potential. These are the days to get out and have that adventure and experience the world.
Days 14 and 15 may be a bit of a challenge for you as your mood is unpredictable due to the ovulation process, and the fact that the feel good hormone oestrogen drops just after ovulation. Some women have described this as being worse than PMS.
During days 25 to 28 feelings of anxiety and frustration will start to creep in due to the lead up to your period. You can feel overwhelmed, even irritated to the point of rage. Be aware of how you speak to others, in particular being too direct. Emotions can swing like a pendulum and it can be confusing to others who don’t feel the depth of your emotions. This is the ideal time to get to the “truth” of your emotions and write them down. This process gives you clarity. Why not look at the advice of one of my favourite Sagittarians, Byron Katie about this.
A parting thought from Betty White:
